UNDERWRITER TRAINEE – LITTLE ROCK
Duties
Acquire knowledge, understanding, and skillset surrounding all contracts and underwriting guidelines. Learn to determine proper risk selection and policy classification/rating of policy contracts. Participate in training sessions and continuing education courses to further knowledge in field of insurance and underwriting. Works under direct management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Insurance, Risk Management or related field preferred OR
Relevant combination of education and related business/insurance work experience may be substituted for degree.
Review and study underwriting manual, policy contracts and procedures to increase skillset in field.
Examine documents, forms, reports and maps to determine degree of risk.
Conduct account reviews with assistance from Underwriters.
Must possess proficient written/verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
Initiative skills to work independently and with others.
